Fey laminar rings
FEY’s laminar rings are used wherever installation space is limited, operating conditions are demanding, and conventional sealing elements reach their limits. Thanks to their multi-layered metallic structure, they enable precisely defined clearance dimensions, high resistance to temperature and media, and exceptionally stable

Sealing
Metallic laminar rings for reliable sealing in the event of rotational movements, pressure differentials and particle contamination. Ideal for bearing points, gearboxes and lubricant systems.
High-temperature sealing
Sealing elements for extreme thermal conditions – suitable for exhaust lines, turbochargers, power plants and the process industry up to +700°C.
Axial retention
Precise retaining rings for the positive locking of components in gearboxes, engines and high-load applications – stable, compact, low-maintenance.
Labyrinth pre-seal
Multi-wound laminar structures for effective retention of dust, particles and media. Optimal for rotating shafts and combinations of sealing + retaining.
Which FEY products are typically used?
For sealing:
For rotating and oscillating systems, we recommend the FK 3 and FK 6 series laminar rings. Variants such as AS, ASK, IS, ISK as well as ASKD and ISKD offer defined sealing gaps, high grease retention and reliable protection against particles. FK 2 and FK 4 are suitable for piston and cylinder seals , while FK 6 ASD/ASKD/ISD/ISKD are ideal for lubricant protection and grease sealing.
For high-temperature
sealing:
Under extreme operating conditions – such as in exhaust pipes or turbines – FK 5 and FK 5-HFL offer high temperature resistance , minimal deformation and a permanently stable sealing effect. Ideal for applications with operating temperatures of up to +700 °C.
For axial retention:
For the secure fixation of components under high axial forces, we recommend FK 7 series laminar retaining rings. They ensure a reliable hold in transmissions, electric motors and high-load applications.
For labyrinth
pre-sealing:
Double wound versions such as FK 6 ISD/ISKD as well as FK 8 and FK 6 ASD are suitable for labyrinth functions and protective seals. Combinations such as FK 3 ISK and FK 6 ASKD offer an additional locking effect and effective protection against dust, particles and media.
